  • Is the event for all ages?
    Yes, the YGK Kite and Food Festival is designed to be a fun and inclusive event for people of all ages. Whether you're a child, a teenager, an adult, or a senior, there will be activities, food, and entertainment that everyone can enjoy.
  • What items can I bring?
    Sunglasses Sunscreen Lawn chairs Towels and blankets Cash, debit card, credit card Cell phone Small bags, purses, and fanny packs (subject to inspection upon admission) An appetite to try various cuisine
  • What if I don’t have a kite?
    A wide variety of kites will be on sale on-site. Make sure to check them out! Happy Flying 🪁
  • What time do I arrive?
    The event will start at Noon and run till 7:00 p.m. The tickets are NOT timed tickets.
  • What if it rains?
    The event will take place rain or shine. Please dress accordingly. In case of bad weather, updates will be posted on the website and on our Facebook / Instagram page. Tickets are non-refundable.
  • What is the policy on food for those with dietary restrictions?
    Various food trucks and local restaurants will offer a wide range of food on-site. While outside food is not allowed, exceptions can be made for allergies, etc. Click here to email the Event Manager for further assistance.
  • Am I able to smoke or vape?
    Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the event site. Smoking/vaping will not be tolerated inside the site and those who do not comply will be asked to leave the event immediately.
  • Is there any shade on site?
    Yes, we will have a shaded food court area.
  • Will there be a water taxi service available?
    Yes, the water taxi will be available for free for pedestrians from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, departing every 25 minutes from Crawford Wharf to the HMCS Cataraqui Jetty
  • Do you have a lost & found?
    If you lost something on site, please find a staff member to assist you.
  • What is your re-entry policy?
    You can re-enter the event as many times as possible, be sure to have your ticket and bracelet on you everytime you enter the event.
  • Can I bring my dog?
    Service dogs are welcome! We kindly ask that all dogs remain on a leash at all times. Please ensure you clean up after your pet and bring a water dish to keep them hydrated. We want everyone, including our furry friends, to enjoy the festival safely and comfortably.
  • What items are prohibited?
    No outside food or beverages, including alcohol No weapons No illegal drugs/edibles
  • Is kite fighting allowed?
    Kite fighting is strictly prohibited. Actions will be taken against individuals found violating this rule. Please adhere to the guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
  • Are there washrooms available on site?
    Yes, portable washrooms will be available on-site.
